While we are disappointed in the results of this election, we will always continue to put the needs of our students first and foremost in everything we do. We will look for another path forward, in order to address the needs of students in Copperas Cove now and in the future. I appreciate the efforts of our Facilities Advisory Committee over the course of 2-1/2 years in putting together a proposal they should proud of. The issuance of $175,000,000 in bonds for school facilities, with priority given to the high school and District-wide safety and security, and the levy of taxes sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds. ICYMI | At April's regular Board of Trustees meeting, the district recognized several groups for their excellence. The CCHS girls powerlifting team won the 6A regional championship and had 8 state qualifiers, 3 individual regional champions and 10 medalists. CCHS Wrestling finished with 10 regional qualifiers and 4 state qualifiers. Erinn Sewell finished as State Runner-up. CCHS Swimming & Diving finished with 12 regional qualifiers. CCHS 9th-grade boys basketball finished its 3rd consecutive undefeated district championship season. CCHS girls soccer qualified for the 6A state playoffs. CCJHS 8th-grade girls basketball "A" team finished as undefeated district champions in back-to-back seasons.
