Copperas Cove ISD -

On Sept. 16, 2024, the Copperas Cove ISD Board of Trustees began a search for the district's next Superintendent of Schools.

The Board of Trustees has employed Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Executive Search Services to assist with the search. The Board has requested that school personnel and the public be involved in developing a profile of the leadership qualities desired of the person the Board should seek to become the new superintendent.

Approximate Timeline for Search

• Accept Applications through TASB: until Nov. 7th

• Initial Interviews with candidates: early December

• Follow-up Interviews with candidates: mid-December

• Target timeframe to name a lone finalist: mid-December

• Target timeframe to approve hiring of new superintendent: early January

COPPERAS COVE – Copperas Cove ISD has announced two community input sessions as part of the district’s superintendent search process.

The district will offer two sessions on Tuesday, Oct. 15th, with one beginning at Noon and another at 6:30 p.m. Both sessions will be held at the Copperas Cove Civic Center, located at 1206 W. Ave. B.

These sessions will be run by the Texas Association of School Boards Executive Search Services division and allow community members to share what qualities they would like to see in the district’s next leader. TASB’s ESS division was hired by the CCISD Board of Trustees in September to assist the board with the search process.
